Leaders In Training (LIT)
Leaders in Training (LiT) program is a quarterly event organized the Rwanda Pharmaceutical Students' Association (RPSA/AEPHAR) through its Vice-President office in collaboration with other student-led associations and serves as a platform for aspiring future healthcare leaders to hone their leadership skills and knowledge. This is done by equipping the future workforce with leadership and management skills required to fulfill leadership roles in the global health setting, specifically when engaging with policy making. This immersive gathering brings together students, educators, and professionals in the medical field, fostering collaboration and mentorship. At the end of the Leaders in Training (LiT) program, participants will become confident leaders, who will be equipped with necessary skills to take over leadership roles locally and internationally.
Why It Matters
The pharmacy profession needs leaders who can advocate for patients, shape health policies, and drive innovation. LIT intentionally develops these competencies through structured day-long trainings covering leadership, management, volunteerism, and advocacy — ensuring graduates are ready to take on global roles in health issues and give back to their communities.
“The LIT program transformed my understanding of leadership. I came in as a shy student and left as a confident leader ready to serve my community and the pharmacy profession.”
